Discover one of Asia’s most under-explored regions on a two-week adventure through Mongolia. Walk through the remote and mysterious Erdene Zhu monastery with a Lama Buddhist monk; visit the dramatic Flaming Cliffs, a world-renowned paleontology site famous for its amount of dinosaur eggs and bones; and drop by the home of a welcoming camel-herding family for an afternoon you’ll always remember.
This trip is offered in partnership with G Adventures.
Accommodation from day 3 to 12 will be in gers, traditional Mongolian tents made with round wooden frames and thick felt. The gers are simple, but quite comfortable, with 2 beds with mattresses, linens, and extra blankets. As our camps are remote, bathrooms facilities are shared.
All trip prices are per person based on double occupancy or single occupancy unless otherwise noted, are subject to change without notice and do not include airfare. Optional activities are at an additional cost. All prices and fares are quoted in U.S. dollars.
During your trip, sometimes it’s just more convenient and comfortable to have your own room. That’s why we offer the “My Own Room” option – a single room all to yourself.
My Own Room Option: From $5,398
Offered in partnership with G Adventures, our National Geographic Journeys line blends fun, hands-on exploration, meaningful encounters with people and cultures, and more free time and choices—with the structure and security of traveling in a small group.
